Build the thing that runs you
In the next ten minutes you will build and publish your first app. Not a demo. The dashboard that runs your money, your training, your hours and your goals, and the reason every other module in this portal is locked right now.
Thirty seconds on what Base44 even is
Base44 is the tool this entire program runs on. You type what you want in plain English and it builds real, working software. No code, no downloads, nothing to install.
You already have an account. It was created when you signed up for this program, with the same email. And a prompt is just a message you type into it. Every prompt you will ever need is already written on this site, word for word, in order.
The rest of the portal teaches you how to run an advertising business on this tool. Today you learn the tool itself, by building something for you.
Why a life dashboard and not a business one
Fair question. You joined to build an agency, and section one is your sleep and your bank balance. Here is the logic.
A business dashboard on day one is a row of zeros. No clients, no pipeline, no numbers. An empty dashboard gives you a reason to stop opening it, and most people do.
Your life is the one business you are already running. It has revenue, costs, output and a calendar today. So this is where you learn the skill this entire program runs on: typing what you want into Base44 and watching it become software.
Finish all eight sections and every module in the portal unlocks. That is not a hoop. If you cannot run one dashboard on your own life, client work is not the next step, and this keeps you on track without anyone chasing you.
Every tool you will ever build for a client starts the same way: a clear sentence about what you want, typed into a builder.
This is rep one.
The one rule of this whole build
Your Life OS has no forms and no input fields. On purpose. Every number that enters it, enters by you telling Base44 in plain English.
The app is the scoreboard. The conversation is the game. By the end of this SOP that conversation is a daily habit, and the dashboard only stays alive if you keep talking.
Open Base44 and find the two modes
Go to app.base44.com and sign in with the same email you used when you joined this program. You land on your Apps dashboard, the home screen that lists every app you own. It is probably empty. Good. Not for long.
Before you build, find the chat toggle next to the send button. Base44 has two modes and you will use both, on cue.
Plan thinks the build through with you before anything gets written. Build writes the software. Every prompt block on this site is labeled with the mode it belongs in, and each block is exactly one message. The counter on each block shows how far in you are.
Switch to Plan mode first
On the Base44 dashboard, where it says What will you build next?, flip the toggle next to the send button to Plan. Do it now, before anything else. The rest of this section unlocks when you confirm it.
Message one: the full spec
Start a new app. Switch to Plan mode and paste this. It is long on purpose: it is the entire spec, the full description of what you are building with every decision already made, so Plan mode has almost nothing left to ask and every member's app comes out the same shape.
I am building my Life OS. A personal dashboard that runs my life. This message is the full spec. Plan it with me before you build anything, and treat every decision below as final, so you only ask me about real gaps. WHAT IT IS One private app. Single user, just me. One home dashboard plus six rooms: Money, Health, Calendar, Goals, Habits, Why. WHAT IT STORES - DailyLog: date, money spent, trained yes or no, hours slept, one thing I shipped, short note - MoneySnapshot: month, income, fixed costs, total debt, total saved - Goal: horizon (90 day, 1 year, 3 year), the goal in one line, progress percent - Habit: name, trigger, current streak, last done date - TimeBlock: day, category, hours - WhyItem: who or what, one line about them LAYOUT AND STYLE - Home dashboard, top to bottom: my 30 day streak grid built from DailyLogs, my 90 day goal front and center, one row of freshness badges for all six rooms, then my Why panel. - Freshness badges show days since that room's last record: 0 to 1 green, 2 to 3 amber, 4 plus red. - Rooms show their data as a card based grid. Big numbers, small labels. - Dark theme, high contrast, minimal. Mobile first: the home screen must read on a phone in ten seconds, and the layout must hold up on a phone, a laptop and a desktop. THE RULE THAT MATTERS MOST - NO forms and NO input fields anywhere. No add, edit, or delete buttons. The app is read only. Every piece of data enters by me telling you in this chat. - A room with no data yet says: Tell me in chat. Never an empty form. WHAT NOT TO ADD - No user accounts, sign ups, or profiles. Just me. - No automatic weekly or daily summaries, and no insight pushes into the chat. I run my own reviews by prompting. One exception is allowed: goal milestone alerts. - No notifications from the app itself. My reminder system comes later and lives outside this app. - No extra pages, settings screens, or features beyond this spec. If you ask me planning questions, assume whichever answer matches this spec. Ask me only about genuine gaps. Then show me the plan.
Read the plan, then hit Start Building
Base44 answers with a plan card. Open View and check two lines before anything else: it says read only, all data entry through chat, and it lists no notifications, auto summaries, or settings pages. If both are there, the spec held.
Then hit Start Building on the plan card, and it starts building the app. That is it. No second message.
Publish it. Now, not later
Top right of the builder there is a Publish button. Hit it. Then open your app settings and set visibility to private, because this app is about to hold your real numbers.
You are publishing an empty shell and that is exactly the point. Live and imperfect beats perfect and imaginary, in software and in everything else this program teaches.
